2020 Lebanon – Meat Packages

Lebanon has faced a crippling combination of sanctions, unemployment, a devalued currency, food shortages and inflated prices.

To help ease some of the pressure felt by struggling families, @WishFoundation distributed meat packages to 157 families in South Lebanon in Stage 1 of its 12 month commitment to deliver essentials to struggling communities across the country.

The situation in Lebanon is changing daily, and with the recent Beirut disaster, we expect the situation to deteriorate further. A kg of meat costs close to 80,000 Lebanese pounds, resulting in many families going without meat for months.

Stage 2 will be executed in a few weeks with the objective of distributing chicken, fruit and vegetables to affected households.

This is in conjunction to our humanitarian response to the Beirut catastrophe of 4th August 2020. With your continued support, we will provide aid to those that need it most.
